HORRIBLE NIGERIA: THE TALE OF HOUSING AND THE LACE OF CORRUPTION!

Most times I feel like losing my cool and hope on Nigeria. This is usually so as every hope dies with a new apostle. Those whom have sounded saintly turn more Satan when given the opportunity to make corrections. Recently I have wondered why it is very difficult for the poor to have a decent shelter over him or her in Nigeria. This keeps coming to me like a begging question and more with such unavoidable fuss. Why is housing a big challenge in Nigeria despite all the gracious policies and programs by the governments? Here in Nigeria we have Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Federal Staff Loans Board, National Housing  Fund (NHF), Accelerated Mass Housing Development Scheme, Primary Mortgage Institutions (PMIs), Mortgage Refinancing Institution (MRI) and lots more. THE EGRETS, HERDS AND HERDSMEN

The egret was our friend The herds were our friends The herdsmen were our friends But they were fleeting friends. Like a company, we saw them While the herds roamed around Under the magical control of herders Egrets drove our fancy They had their job I think a very tasking one Taking away the pains Of lice, flies and more They did all at a go We could take joy in our sight This is our village experience As though the schools measured time Our dismissals were greeted by the trio They were all our friends in an accord The egrets gave us white finger nails Yes sang in plea of that We were sure they were magnanimous Riding on the back of the herds As the herds moved about in freedom The herdsmen returned our jeers Aboki Nnama we chorused chasing them Aboki Nyamiri they returned countlessly We had the fun and they cheered their day What has happened to our friends?
