OCTOBER 15: DNKI HUMANITARIAN DAY
We have decided to set a mark of honour and originality for ourselves as norsemen, because we know who we are, we know where we are coming from and we also know where we are heading to. Our goal is unambiguous, to serve humanity. There is nothing else that makes us who we are than working hard and anointing humanity with virtuous oil of hope and satisfaction.
As an organization, our hearts bleed when we see the despondency and helplessness on the faces of humanity. Our hearts bleed when we see people oppressed for the simple reason that they are weak and poor. Our hearts bleed when we see people without food, clothing and shelter. Our hearts bleed when children who should be in school are turned into hawkers, beggars,
weapon bearers and war mercenaries. Our hearts bleed when humanity is shortchanged and weakened by injustice.
We cannot fold our hands and watch humanity go down the drain. De Norsemen Kclub International has stepped out like never before to bring succour to the world. We have declared October 15th every year as DNKI Humanitarian Day to make more statement on our call to serve humanity.
DNKI Humanitarian Day is a day we reflect on our calling as Norsemen to see whether the vocation of service which we voluntarily thrust upon ourselves is alive. It is a day we reflect on global humanitarian challenges and think of practical and realistic ways of solving them with all resources at our disposal. It is a day we gather to put smiles on the faces of people because our smiles can only be meaningful when humanity smiles.
The world needs us and we must offer ourselves to the world for the world to glow. Norsemen worldwide should use DNKI Humanitarian Day and the remaining days of their lives to offer tangible reprieve to humanity. We must give. We must not stop giving. The substantial translation of our dooty is giving. The tangible meaning of our love mantra is giving. We are simply a brotherhood of givers. Therefore, we remain in the fellowship of abundance and prosperity because givers never lack.
DNKI Humanitarian Day is solely set aside for humanitarian activities. All chapters all over the world have a dooty to actively get involved and touch lives. The impostors will fail woefully because they do not know what humanity is and no one commits oneself to the service of what they do not know, since nemo dat quod non habet. So, the international leadership of De Norsemen Kclub International dissociates itself from any activity that does not bear the stamp of charity on this day. Let us go out and light up the faces of the people. We can only sustain our happiness when humanity is happy.
Happy DNKI Humanitarian Day!
Chief Dr Adeshola Giwa, International President.
