The event that chronicled the official presentation of the proposed Mbaise Sustainable Development Ambassadors' Conference, Dinner & Investitures "MSDACDI Project 2023" during the last concluded Key Stakeholders' Consultative Forum which took place on Friday, 15th September 2023 at the Council Hall of the Ahiazu Mbaise LGA was adjudged successful and results oriented.
Participants observed the Chief Convener, Amb. Benedict Nneji Opara with keen interest and admiration while making the presentation on the MSDACDI Project with the theme on: Engineering Stronger Institutions, Recognizing Integrity, Celebrating Excellence and Stimulating Sustainable Development.
He captured the essence of the programne and gave deeper insight on some of the projects identified as critical to the sustainable development of the Mbaise entity and assured that the proposed conference now being fixed on Friday, 20th September will focus on deliberations targeted at addressing some of the developmental challenges facing the Mbaise entity.
These he said, will include the attraction of domestic and foreign direct investment with funding supports expected from prominent Mbaise sons and daughters at home & abroad, foreign donor agencies, development partners and multinational corporations, through the proposed Mbaise Global Sustainable Development Foundation MGSDF, toward the actualization of the envisaged "Mbaise Mega City" with modern facilities in the three local government areas that make of the Mbaise entity such as:
* Modern Housing Estates.
* Modern Markets and Shopping Centres
* Modern Hotels & Resorts
* International Convention Centre
* Youth & Sports/Skills Development Centres
* Good Roads & Security Network
* Siting of industries and multinational investments
* Publication of a reference Book titled "The Mbaise Entity". Origin, Culture, Endowments, Opportunities & Prospects.
Committees expected to be instituted at the end of the conference will include;
* The Diaspora Committee
* The Elders Consultative Council
* The Inter-Governmental Committee
* The Research, Planning & Development Committee
* The Stakeholders' Consultative Forum
* The Academic & Scholarships Committee
* The Conflicts & Alternative Disputes Resolution Committee
* Security & Community Relations Committee
* The Conference Resolutions Monitoring & Implementation Committee
* The Conference Resolutions Drafting Committee, respectively.
The MSDACDI Project was thereafter officially unveiled by the National President of the Ahiazu Mbaise Association of Chiefs, Hon. Chief Dandy Caince with the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira (#100,000.00) and thereon supported by the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ahiazu Mbaise Branch, Comrade Wisdom Uchechukwu and the President of the National Council of Women Societies, Ezinihite chapter, Lolo Victoria Odoemenam with the sums of Twenty Thousand Naira (#20,000.00) and Five Thousand Naira (#5,000.00) respectively, among others who also expressed goodwills toward the success of the project.
The Central Planning Committee (CPC) for the Conference was thereafter constituted with Hon. Chief Dandy Caince, National President of the Ahiazu Mbaise Association of Chiefs as Chairman, with the President of the National Council of Women Societies, (NCWS), Ezinihite Chapter, Lolo Vicky Odoemena as Welfare & Hospitality Coordinator, Hon. Emeka Okwuonu representing the Ezinihite Local Government Council as Contacts and Mobilization Coordinator, among others.
The structural composition of the Central Planning Committee was thereon announced as follows;

* The Contacts & Mobilization
* The Welfare & Hospitality
* The Security & Protocol
The Chief Convener then appealed to His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, the Executive Governor of Imo State, to do well by honouring it's invitation as the Distinguished Special Guest of Honour to officially flag off the proposed conference with ease of access and financial support from institutions and patriotic citizens of the state and the Mbaise entity, to actively identify, support and participate in making this noble initiative of huge fruition.
