Ahiazu Mbaise Legislative Council Inaugurated Amidst High Expectations

In a historic ceremony held today, October 15, 2024, the Ahiazu Mbaise Legislative Council was officially inaugurated, marking a significant milestone in the local government's democratic journey ¹. Chief Larry Chikwe, the Executive Chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government, proclaimed the inauguration, emphasizing the importance of representatives being closer to the people.


The Chairman's Address:

Chief Chikwe urged the newly sworn-in councilors to prioritize the collective good of the local government, making enactments that deepen democracy and advance social and economic development. He emphasized the need for credible character and integrity, fostering peace and development, and supporting the Imo State Government's policies under Governor Hope Uzodinma.

The long-awaited Mbaise USA Health Insurance Program officially commenced its beneficiary enrollment and data capturing today, Tuesday, 22nd April 2025 , at Umuihuocha Civic Hall, Obohia/Ekwereazu Ward , Ahiazu Mbaise LGA. This landmark program, a partnership between Mbaise USA Inc. and the Imo State Government through the Imo State Health Insurance Agency (IMSHIA) , aims to deliver quality and free healthcare to thousands of residents across Mbaise.
