𝗔𝗣𝗖 𝗟𝗚𝗔 𝗘𝗫𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗛𝗜𝗔𝗭𝗨/𝗘𝗭𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘
The emergence of newly elected APC LGA Executives across 𝗔𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘇𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲 is not just a routine political development—it is a call to 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 at a critical time in our constituency’s political journey.
As 2027 approaches, the political atmosphere is naturally becoming more active. However, beyond ambitions and alignments, there is a higher obligation that must guide all actors within our party structure—the 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁.
The principle of equity within Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency has long served as a stabilizing force. It has helped to maintain balance, reduce tension, and ensure that no bloc feels excluded in the political process.
This principle must not be sacrificed on the altar of 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻.
For both 𝗔𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘇𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲, the responsibility is shared.
- 𝗔𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘇𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝘀.
- 𝗘𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆.
This is where the newly elected APC LGA Executives come in.
They are not just coordinators of party activities—they are 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀.
At this point in time, their role must go beyond administration to include:
- 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
- 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀
- 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗷𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱
- 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗚𝗔𝘀
The truth remains that 𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. When equity is ignored, resentment grows. When fairness is upheld, loyalty deepens.
Both Ahiazu and Ezinihitte must therefore resist the temptation of 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
The APC, as the ruling party, carries even greater responsibility to demonstrate 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
Let it be clearly understood:
𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀—𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵.
𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹—𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.
𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲—𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹.
As we move forward, the expectation from the grassroots is simple:
That our leaders will act not just as politicians, but as 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘇𝘂/𝗘𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆.
History will not judge us by the positions we occupy today, but by the 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀.
Let us choose equity.
Let us choose integrity.
Let us choose unity.
That is the only path to sustainable political success.
I am,
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗿. 𝗨𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗵’𝘂𝗸𝘄𝘂 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗢. (𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗪𝗶𝘀)
